Carlisle Home – Design Scheme

We recently designed an interior scheme for a newly moved-in family home in Carlisle, with the aim of making the space feel more lived-in, cosy, and truly reflective of its owners. The result is a warm, layered interior filled with personalised touches and practical beauty—interior design for modern family living at its best.

The scheme was thoughtfully designed to complement the existing features of the home—enhancing its architectural charm while adding depth, texture, and a sense of comfort. Our design journey began with a carefully curated selection of furniture to suit the lifestyle and layout of the property. To bring warmth and visual interest, we introduced textured wallpapers from leading design houses in the lounge, downstairs bathroom, kitchen, and landing. Each space was treated as an opportunity to build character, while maintaining a cohesive and inviting feel throughout.

A standout element of the project was our collaboration with local maker Carlisle Furniture, resulting in a bespoke panelled media wall and desk in the study. Designed for both function and style, this handcrafted joinery adds a refined yet practical touch to the home.

Our sister company, Chris Davidson Carpets supplied and fitted carpets to the stairs and landing, including a bespoke in-house stair runner and a custom-made taped rug for the lounge—blending durability with tactile comfort. We also designed a bespoke upholstered footstool, created specifically to complement the scheme and bring balance to the living space.

Every detail was considered to help this family settle in with ease and style. From flooring to furniture, this project reflects what we do best: creating interiors that feel like home from the moment you step inside.
